A quick entry for the 1-bit jam. I am attempting to get better at using component based design so this was a little project to help me understand the concepts better. The quote is attributed to Calgacus.
I used a font, which I wasn't sure if was allowed for a 1-bit jam. Everything else is a single white/purple pixel that is either stretched, rotated, or some alpha variance applied. Some shaders were used for gradients, but no other post processing effects.
Time on project. Estimate: 6-8 hours.

This is a fun little project, I loved the animation :)
Thank you! Been a while Chroute - what are you up to these days?
I know! I'm glad to see you've kept going and improved your skills! I haven't done any GameDev in months, but I'm slowly coming back to it and will try my hands with a Jam in November :)
Nice! Can't wait to see what you make next. Are you on Discord by any chance? I released a steam game - I'll send you a key!
Wow! I can't wait to try it!
And yes, my username is: chroute
fun and unique game I like i
is 1 bit, right?
Yep! The only sprite in the game is a white or purple pixel that is either stretched/rotated. I used in engine settings to get various shades by adjusting the alpha channel, which the rules said was ok. The one thing I wasn't sure about was the font - which has it's own alpha channel. Thanks for playing!
Aaaa,
